This flavorful sauce is versatile, from bread to eggs to many other applications. Let your taste buds be your guide.

Ingredients:

Drizzle on salad, eggs or bread.

What will you use this Awesome sauce for?

Directions:

  1. Gently pound the fresh herbs in a mortar and pestle.
  2. Add all ingredients except the lemon juice into a mason jar. Secure lid and shake until blended.
  3. Add in the lemon juice, and shake again.   

This extremely versatile sauce can be used for these purposes and beyond:

  • Top a quiche
  • Dress a salad
  • Drizzle on soups
  • Dip for crusty fresh bread
  • Bring together a soba noodle dish
  • Complete a baked potato

It can be used immediately, but the flavors improve the first few days. It can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week. It will thicken, so place in a windowsill or near a warm spot for a few minutes to liquefy.

  1. Over high heat, bring balsamic to a boil.
  2. Turn heat to low, and simmer until balsamic has reduced to 1/3 cup, about 10 minutes.
  3. Heat a large nonstick pan over medium heat.
  4. Arrange slices of brie and mango on half of a tortilla, and neatly fold the bare half on top.
  5. Cook on one side for 2 minutes or until the cheese begins to melt.
  6. Flip over and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
  7. Cut the quesadilla into slices and drizzle with balsamic reduction and honey.
