- 1 sliced orange (no seeds)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 cups water
- 3 oz Amoretti Organolicious Almond Flavored Blue Agave Nectar
- 1 tsp ground cloves
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 bottle red wine
Combine everything but the wine in a large saucier pan, and slowly bring it to a boil, gradually reducing the heat so that the contents barely simmer. Let the contents simmer for 15 minutes before you add wine. Bring the heat back up so that your mulled wine gets hot, but still don’t let it boil!
Serve in mugs, and give everyone a clove or cinnamon stick as a garnish. One note on the red wine… we prefer to use something especially dry and spicy. Of course, you can use whatever you like, but we believe that the drier and spicier the wine, the better the drink recipe tastes!
