Drinking iced coffee during the summer time is one of life’s great pleasures.

Last week, we published a brand new iced coffee recipe, Kahlua (Type) and Nutmeg Iced Coffee, with the sole aim of winning over all you hot coffee drinkers to the world of iced coffee – for the summer at least.

Really, once you convert, you’ll thank us. Drinking iced coffee during the summer time is one of life’s great pleasures. However, if you aren’t used to iced coffee, it can be a rocky transition. Give this drink recipe a try…

White Chocolate Crème Brûlée Iced Coffee

  • Ingredients:
  • Directions:
  • Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the two coffee syrups over the ice, and then pull your espresso shots. Pour the shots over the ice and shake vigorously for five seconds so that the espresso, ice, and coffee syrups are chilled and foamy. You may wish to knock the cocktail shaker against the counter to get rid of air bubbles.

Pour the contents into a tall Collins glass or your favorite cold to-go cup. Add ice, as needed, so that there is just an inch or two of room at the top of the glass. Slowly pour half and half or milk on the head of the drink so that it floats on top of the ice and espresso. Do not stir. This drink is meant to be layered (or “built”). Sip from the glass, or enjoy with a straw!

If you love the taste of this drink recipe, you can, of course, always make it hot. If you’d like to step things up a notch, you can make this drink in true gourmet-fashion as an undertow. This espresso-rich beverage style is perfect for pairing with sweet and exotic coffee syrups like White Chocolate and Crème Brûlée.
