Though we give a lot of attention to cocktails here on the Amoretti Blog, it’s no secret that we’re also big coffee fans. In fact, we don’t even really care that the sun’s come up until we’ve had our first cup of coffee. But for real coffee lovers, a cup of roast doesn’t end with breakfast toast. We enjoy coffee all day long. Especially as a dessert!
Our newest drink recipe, Caramel Iced Dream, is by all means a dessert coffee. Absolutely decadent, it brings together the rich flavors of two of our most-loved coffee syrups, Amoretti Premium Caramel Syrup and Amoretti Premium Tres Leches Syrup.
Serve it up to your dinner party guests on a hot summer evening this month!
Amoretti Caramel Iced Dream
- 2 shots espresso
- Amoretti Premium Caramel Syrup
- Amoretti Premium Tres Leches Syrup
- Whole milk (to taste)
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the two coffee syrups. Pull your shots of espresso and pour them over the ice and coffee syrups. Shake vigorously for 5-7 seconds. After shaking, tap the bottom of the cocktail shaker on the counter to reduce the air bubbles. Pour the contents into a tall Collins glass, adding more ice (as necessary) until there is an inch or so of room at the top. Float whole milk (or a non-dairy milk of your choice) on top. Serve with a straw.
One of the reasons we really love this iced coffee recipe as a dessert is because, despite its heavy sweetness, it’s incredibly light tasting. It doesn’t have that thickness that your typical latte (hot or iced) is known for.
Also, what’s not to love about caramel coffee or tres leches coffee syrups? While both of these flavors are great on their own – and we’ve got the recipes to prove it! – something special happens when they’re brought together in one drink recipe. Try it for yourself to find out!
