Cocktail Recipe: The Black & Red Sangria
During the spring and summer, we like to think of sangria as the beverage form of leftovers. A little of this, a little of that, shake it up, done. Our sangria “cocktail recipe” is different just about every time we make it. So, if you don’t have all of the ingredients on this recipe list, don’t feel like you have to go out and buy them to make the perfect sangria. Whatever you have around the kitchen – as long as it’s fruity and/or fresh – can probably go into the mix!
Here’s one of our latest and greatest takes on sangria. Have something better? We’d love to hear about it!
The Black & Red Sangria
- 1.5 oz vodka
- 1.5 oz Amoretti Blackberry Martini Cocktail Mix
- 3 oz table red wine
- ½ fresh-squeezed lemon
- 2 oz soda water
Add all ingredients except soda water to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake until contents are thoroughly chilled and strain into a Tom Collins glass. Add 2 ounces of soda water and stir.
Keeping all of those disappointing experiences in mind, we set out to create a cocktail mix that actually tasted like the fruit pictured on the bottle. We feel like we hit the nail on the head when we created Amoretti Blackberry Martini Cocktail Mix.
How Did We Do It?
It’s actually no big secret at all. We decided we would use real fruit to get that great fruity taste. Using real fruit isn’t nearly as easy as using the artificial stuff, which is why most manufacturers don’t want anything to do with it. After all, real fruit can spoil, or it can be ruined by bad weather conditions or pests. Basically, using real fruit is expensive and risky.
However, we decided that if we couldn’t use real fruit, then we shouldn’t be making cocktail mixes in the first place. Our customers deserve the best, and that’s why this cocktail mix – as well as all of our other cocktail mixes – is made from real fruit, every time. Try a bottle today!
