Delicious cinnamon bun flavor for your favorite frozen treats!

Delicious cinnamon bun flavor for your favorite frozen treats!

It’s hard to beat fresh cinnamon buns straight out of the oven, steaming hot and dripping with gooey homemade icing. But if ever there was a close second, it’s the Amoretti Cinnamon Bun Ice Pop. Earlier this summer, we released our new line of flavored extracts. These flavorings (for cold applications) open up your kitchen to a world of possibilities.

Today’s delicious “possibility” is the Amoretti Cinnamon Bun Ice Pop. This ice pop gets its decadent flavor from just a single teaspoon (per serving) of our Cinnamon Bun Artisan Flavor. Before starting in on this recipe, check out our recent write-up on the cinnamon bun. You might learn something new that will inspire your own unique version of this (breakfast) dessert!

Ingredients:

Directions:

(Serves two.) Stir all ingredients until you have a super fine liquid. (Though there are no solids, you may wish to use a powerful blender just to thin the ingredients.) If you use a blender, you might have some foam on top of the mixture. Give it a minute to settle and/or scrape it off; your ice pops won’t freeze well otherwise.

Pour the mixture into two ice pop mold or freezer-friendly cups. Allow the ice pops about a half hour to become semi-frozen. Then, add wooden sticks and allow the mixture to continue freezing for 3-5 hours.

Notes on the Recipe

  • Keep in mind that this recipe serves two. Of course, it’s easily scalable for serving more!
  • Also, because this recipe does use a considerable amount of coffee (i.e. caffeine), it’s not necessarily “kid friendly.” For a kid-friendly ice pop recipe, check out our Raspberry Creamsicle recipe. (Which, by the way, is very adult-friendly, too, if we do say so ourselves.)
  • This ice pop recipe is quite good without being too sweet. If you have a sweet tooth, you might want to use more simple syrup than the recipe calls for. You can also skip simple syrup and just add granulated sugar to the recipe.

What’s holding you back from trying this recipe today? It’s the perfect light and refreshing dessert to follow a rich meal. We’re so sure that you’ll like our Cinnamon Bun Artisan Flavor that we guarantee it with the Amoretti name.
