Tropical Fruit Salad with Spiced Guava Sauce:
For Spiced Guava Sauce:
- 1/2 cup Amoretti Guava Syrup
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 whole star anise
- 1 vanilla bean, split
- 1/4 papaya, seeded, peeled, cubed
- 1/4 pineapple, peeled, cored, thinly sliced
- 12 lychees, peeled and halved
- 1 star fruit, thinly sliced
Combine Amoretti’s Guava Syrup, water, star anise, and vanilla bean and cook over low heat, stirring, for five minutes. Set aside to cool and thicken.
Mix all fruit in a small bowl and covered with cooled syrup. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and shake until fruit is covered. Chill for at least one hour prior to serving.
