Interesting Fruit Syrups: Violet Lavender Syrup

We recommend our Premium Violet Lavender Syrup to those who are looking for a hint of floral flavor.

Spring is a time of flowers. There are blooms all over the world, and what better way to celebrate the warmth of weather and the occasional clear blue sky than with drinks flavored like flowers? Many people overlook the potential that flowers have to revolutionize a kitchen or bar, but these little blooms pack a mighty punch when it comes to making unique and interesting drinks and foods!

At Amoretti, we encourage everybody to take advantage of our Premium Syrup Collection. There are many different flavors that we offer, and all of our unique beverage syrups will be able to help you take food and drink to another level of flavor. But while we have plenty of interesting fruit syrups to choose from, consider bringing the power of flower into your kitchen this spring!

We recommend our Premium Violet Lavender Syrup to those who are looking for a hint of floral flavor. Violet doesn’t have as strong of a flavor as rose, for instance, so if you want to step into the circle of flower flavors slowly, this is a great way to go. The addition of lavender just increases the appeal of this unique beverage syrup. This syrup can be used anywhere that rosewater is used, and is also a great addition to coffee with cream. If you’re a white tea lover, you’ll be astonished at what this floral flavor can do for your enjoyment!

Another great thing to have alongside your Amoretti Premium Violet Lavender Syrup is candied violets. These are easy to make and can be kept indefinitely – and they look lovely floated atop a martini flavored with Violet Lavender Syrup!

Candied Violets

  • Ingredients:
    • Fresh violets that have not been exposed to pesticide
    • Egg white
    • Granulated sugar

  • Directions:
  • Collect as many violets as you wish – it’s best to have at least a jar full. Wash the blossoms and drain them on paper towels, leave to dry completely. If you set the blossoms in the window, they will dry faster. Once dry, brush violets with beaten egg white and sprinkle with granulated sugar. When dry, the sugar will preserve them, so you can use them as long as you want!
