More Tips on How to Flavor Coffee: Maple Syrup, Coffee Syrup, Extracts…
A little while ago we posted some tips on how to flavor coffee. It turns out customers were eager to find out more great tips! We’re going to run through a few more examples, covering everything from Amoretti coffee syrups to one really neat tip on using maple syrup.
Create Your Own Coffee Blends: You don’t have to be a “master roaster” to create your own coffee blends. All you need is some ground coffee and a few basic kitchen spices and ingredients. If you have a blender, that can be helpful, but definitely isn’t necessary. Simply add your pre-ground coffee to the blender or mixing bowl. Then, begin adding spices: cinnamon, allspice, and nutmeg are great ways to start. More adventurous coffee drinkers might want to add ginger or cardamom to the mix. Also, consider adding grated citrus peels. Orange and lemon are great flavors for this approach!
A Maple Syrup & Cream Treat: If you’re wondering how to flavor coffee as a dessert, we’ve got the perfect answer… Whip up this little concoction for a great coffee treat. Heat up a cup of half-and-half, 1/3 cup of maple syrup, and a teaspoon of vanilla extract on the stove. You might want to throw in a couple of cinnamon sticks if you have them. Don’t let the concoction boil. You only want to warm it. When your coffee is ready, add this maple syrup and cream admixture just as you would add cream! Mmmm!
Coffee Syrups: Amoretti premium coffee syrups are another great suggestion if you’re looking for ways to flavor coffee. Sure, we may be a little biased, but we think they’re hard to beat! This time of the year, we love our spice coffee syrups most! Check out Amoretti Premium Gingerbread Syrup for one of our more unique offerings. Then again, we have over 115 coffee syrups you can choose from!
Add Extracts: This is the next easiest way to flavor your coffee next to adding one of our coffee syrups. Just be careful not to go overboard. With coffee syrups, the ratios are printed on the label. When it comes to extracts (which aren’t designed to be directly used in coffee), you’re playing a guessing game on the ratios. Start small with a little vanilla extract. Or, if you’re feeling adventurous, have fun with exotic herbal extracts!
