Step outside the martini box for a moment, we’ve got a new martini recipe we think you’ll enjoy.

The martini didn’t start out sweet. Far from it. There are those who would disdain the idea of putting anything but gin, vermouth, and olives into a martini glass.

Then there are the rest of us. For those who are willing to step outside the martini box for a moment, we’ve got a new martini recipe we think you’ll enjoy. It draws inspiration from the dessert bar….

We’ve paired our delicious Amoretti Premium Honeydew Melon Syrup with crème de cacao liqueur and our favorite top-shelf vodka to create a drink that’s richly decadent yet surprisingly refreshing! If you like to make gourmet drinks, you’ll find this recipe to be a breeze. The taste, however, is 100% gourmet!

    Honeydew Melon Flavored Syrup

Amoretti’s Premium Honeydew Melon Syrup: The Flavor of Summer is always in season.

We love this dessert martini recipe because it offers a nice balance between chocolate-y decadence and the juicy, ripe flavor of the most perfect honeydew melon you can imagine. Last New Year’s Eve we did a full write-up on honeydew melon. If you thought you knew this fruit from limited experience in junior high cafeterias and the ubiquitous continental breakfast offered by every chain hotel in America, then think again.

Contrary to what you might think, the honeydew melon is a fruit that’s bursting with sweet and delicious flavor. It’s no wonder that Dumas donated all of his literary works to a library in exchange for a dozen honeydew melons per annum.

So, all that said… we really think you’ll like the Amoretti Rolling Hills Martini! If you enjoy making gourmet drinks, then you might also want to try the Amoretti Cinnamon Apple Cream Martini! If you’re hosting a dinner or dessert cocktail party, then these two pair wonderfully together. They’re different enough that you can serve both of them at your next get together, providing clear and distinct choices for your guests. Also, the non-chocolate-inclined imbibers at your party will appreciate the thought!

What’s your favorite dessert martini recipe? We’d love to know about it, whether or not it uses an Amoretti product. Share the recipe with us on the Amoretti Facebook page. You can even include a picture of your cocktail creation!
