At Amoretti, it’s our philosophy that every day is a chance to reinvent the wheel. Today, we decided to reinvent the wheel and the sidecar. The Sidecar is one old cocktail. In fact, it’s nearing its 100th birthday (though no one really knows precisely when the Sidecar was first created).

While many early versions of this drink recipe called for a 2:1 brandy/cognac to triple sec ratio, many current versions of the Sidecar use a 4:1 ratio. For our Kiwi Sidecar drink recipe, we’ve opted to use the old ratio, which produces a sweeter and smoother drink. By adding Amoretti Premium Kiwi Syrup, one of our most unique tropical syrups, we’ve turned the Sidecar into a smooth summer sipper. Check out the drink recipe below…

Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a lemon wedge.
