Earlier we introduced you to the Jam Packed Pancakes. Now, we’d like to give you a few more variations to the recipe. We hope these will get you thinking of unique flavor combinations of your own!
Crema di Frutta
Reduce the buttermilk in the basic pancake recipe to 1 cup and add one 6 oz cup of non-fat Greek yogurt with fruit of choice. For filling, combine 2 ounces cream cheese, 3 Tbs confectioners’ sugar, 4 tsp milk, 1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract, and 1 cup of fresh fruit to match the fruit in the yogurt. Serve with a corresponding Amoretti Premium Fruit Flavored Syrup.
Add ½ cup chopped pistachios to the basic pancake batter, combine 2 cups sugar, 6 Tbs Amoretti Premium Milk Chocolate Syrup, ½ cup sour cream, and 1 tsp Amoretti Madagascar-Bourbon Vanilla Extract for the filling, sprinkle the top with pistachios, chopped cherries, and mini chocolate chips, and serve with Amoretti Premium Cherry Syrup.
Add 2 Tbs cocoa powder to the basic pancake batter, combine 2 cups sugar, ½ cup sliced strawberries, ½ cup sour cream, and 1 tsp Amoretti Madagascar-Bourbon Vanilla Extract for the filling, sprinkle the top with sliced strawberries and mini chocolate chips, and serve with Amoretti Premium Crema di Vanilla Syrup.
Cookies & Cream
Add 2 Tbs dark cocoa and melt one 3.5 oz chopped Intense Dark chocolate bar with 2 Tbs of butter to replace the 2 Tbs of vegetable oil in the basic pancake batter. Create your filling by combining ¼ cup softened unsalted butter, ¼ cup vegetable shortening, 1¾ cups confectioners’ sugar, and 1 tsp Amoretti Madagascar-Bourbon Vanilla Extract. Serve with Amoretti Premium Crema di Dark Chocolate or Premium Crema di Vanilla Syrup, or some of each.
