Supperbutter Bread, yum!

Nothing activates your family’s saliva glands faster than the aroma of their favorite quick bread right out of the oven. Well, we at Amoretti plan on making Superbutter® Banana Bread your family’s new favorite quick bread.

Soft and moist, loaded with flavors your family will love, plus the added crunch of sunflower seed kernels, all add up to a delicious taste treat for young and old alike.

This quick bread can be served warm right out of the oven or cooled to room temperature. Serve it with breakfast, as breakfast, or as an after school or late night snack. Eat it plain or slather on a bit of better butter, a dollop of Superbutter, or some fruit preserves. Enjoy it with a big glass of milk, a cup of coffee, some hot cocoa, or fresh brewed tea. Yes, this is definitely going to be your family’s new favorite quick bread!

Superbutter Banana Bread

  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup Original Creamy or Crunchy Superbutter
  • 2 very ripe bananas, mashed
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ cup sunflower kernels


Preheat oven to 325°F. Spray a standard size loaf pan with baking spray.

In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating thoroughly between additions. Add the Superbutter, bananas, flour and baking soda and continue beating until blended. Fold in the sunflower kernels. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake at 325°F for 65 to 75 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into center of the loaf comes out clean. Remove to a wire rack to cool.
