Scotch ‘n Spice



Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with no ice. Shake ingredients together (this is known as a dry shake, a technique most often employed in cocktails containing egg whites). After 10-15 seconds of shaking, pour ingredients into a chilled Old Fashioned glass filled with ice. Garnish with fresh mint (optional). This drink can also be served neat if the cocktail shaker and Old Fashioned glass are both chilled beforehand.

Because the Scotch ‘n Spice drink recipe has honey and ground dried ingredients (the cloves), shaking is essential for proper mixing. However, shaking with ice in the container can result in too many of those ingredients getting left behind, which is why the dry shake is a great technique to employ here!
