Amoretti Lemon Thyme Bars

Try this recipe, the zesty and sweet lemon flavor is perfect for summer!

Ingredients

    Amoretti Thyme Oil Extract

    Thyme Oil extract works great for both savory and sweet recipes!

    • ½ cup butter, room temperature
    • ½ cup sugar
    • 2 cups all purpose flour

Directions

    1. Cream butter and sugar.
    2. Add flour and salt, mixing just until combined.
    3. Roll into a ball, flatten and press into a 9×13 baking sheet, building the dough up on the sides.
    4. Dock the dough and bake at 350°F for 20 minutes, until lightly browned.
    5. Filling: Whisk all ingredients together and pour over cooled crust.
    6. Bake at 350°F for 30-35 min.
    7. Cool completely before chilling. Chill for at least 1 hour.
    8. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Rosemary Quiche

Amoretti Rosemary Quiche

Start the day with this comforting breakfast recipe!

Ingredients

    Amoretti Rosemary Oil Extract, Rosemary Extract, Rosemary Flavor

    Our savory extracts will heighten flavor in your recipes!

    • 1¼ cups all purpose flour
    • ¼ teaspoon salt
    • 7 tablespoons butter cold cubed
    • 2 tablespoons ice water
    • 6 oz (4-5 strips) bacon
    • 2 eggs
    • 2 egg yolks
    • 1¼ cups half and half
    • ¼ teaspoon salt
    • ¼ teaspoon white pepper
    • pinch nutmeg
    • 1 teaspoon Amoretti® Rosemary Oil Extract
    • 1 cup Gruyère cheese

Directions

    1. Combine all dry ingredients and add cold, cubed butter until the butter is pea sized.
    2. Add cold water and mix until dough forms and mixing bowl is clean.
    3. Flatten dough into a disc shape, wrap and chill 1 hour.
    4. Press chilled dough into fluted tart pan with removable bottom.
    5. Fill with parchment and pie weights (or beans).
    6. Par bake at 375°F for about 15 minutes.
    7. Remove the parchment and pie weights and continue baking for another 10 minutes until tart shell is lightly browned.
    8. Cool completely.
    9. Filling: Fry bacon, drain on paper towels and dice.
    10. Grate Gruyère cheese to fill one cup.
    11. Combine eggs, yolks, half and half, salt, pepper, nutmeg and Amoretti Rosemary Oil Extract until thoroughly combined.
    12. Spread diced bacon on bottom of cooled tart shell.
    13. Pour egg mixture over the bacon and top with grated Gruyère cheese.
    14. Bake in a 375°F oven for 30-35 minutes.
    15. Serve warm, or let cool to room temperature, cover and chill.
