Amoretti is putting forward, for your consideration, ten amazing Christmas cookie recipes, including versions of the ever popular rum ball, using 7 different Amoretti Liqueur syrups, with a different filling and a different coating for each.
In turn, we would like you to furnish us with at least one of your favorite Christmas cookie recipes, and if we like your recipe we will share it with all of our readers and give you the credit.
Try out our favorite cookie recipes, submit your favorite cookie recipes for us to try, and if we get enough responses we might make this an annual occurrence, and perhaps we can even have a recipe contest with Amoretti products as prizes. Christmas Butter Cookies
- ¾ cup confectioner’s sugar
- ½ cup butter, softened
- 1 egg
- ½ tsp Amoretti Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla (2 fold) Extract
- ½ tsp Amoretti Orange Zest Oil Extract
- 1-¼ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp cream of tartar
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and cream of tartar. In another bowl, combine the confectioner’s sugar, butter, egg, vanilla, and orange zest oil extract. Fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.
Preheat the oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
On lightly floured surface, roll the dough out to a ¼-inch thickness. Cut it into Christmas shapes with floured cookie cutters. Bake the cookies at 375°F for 7 to 8 minutes or until golden. Allow the cookies to cool completely on wire racks before frosting and decorating as desired.
