- 1/4 tsp salt
- 5 tsp butter, unsalted and chilled
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar
Combine Amoretti’s Premium Jasmine Syrup, vanilla, and buttermilk in saucepan. Heat over medium-high until just beginning to boil. Remove from heat and allow at least five minutes for flavors to combine.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or grease. In a large bowl, combine both flours, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt. Mix. Add butter and use an electric mixer on medium speed to combine.
Measure out 2/3 cup of the buttermilk mix and add to the butter-flour mix. Mix on low speed to combine.
Divide dough into 2 disks and place on a floured surface for shaping. Shape each disk until it is at least 6 inches wide. Cut the circle into wedges and transfer to baking sheet, placing each scone at least 1-2 inches apart.
