A Brilliant Fall Use for Cocktail Mixes: The Wine-tini
Summer blog readers may remember our popular recipe for the Amoretti Blueberry Wine-tini. However, the wine-tini is one of the more seasonally versatile chilled cocktails that we love at Amoretti! For those who are unfamiliar with the wine-tini, here’s what you need to know. The wine-tini is a spin off the classic vodka martini. But, oh!, what a diversion it takes!
The wine-tini has taken on a life of its own. Using our delicious cocktail mixes with a crisp, white wine (chardonnays work especially well) and more or less of a dash of vodka, you can create this delicious all-season drink.
Though we loved drinking the Amoretti Blueberry Wine-tini in the summer, we think that it can be varied to produce the perfect autumn cocktail. As delicious as the warmer cocktails like spiked cider can be during October and November, we’ve found that cool and crisp cocktails also hit the spot!
Our two favorite cocktail mixes for autumnal wine-tinis are Amoretti Blackberry Martini Cocktail Mix and Amoretti Tangerine Martini Cocktail Mix. Both of these bold and well-rounded fruit flavors are great for enjoying outside, wrapped in a cozy shawl against the cooler fall nights.
These two cocktail mixes are great fall choices because they match the bold, seasonal colors in panache, while providing great fruit flavors that aren’t too summery to be out of place. Also, they pair well with fall garnishes like cinnamon sticks and other spices.
So, without further ado, here’s our latest and greatest:
The Amoretti Autumn Wine-tini
- 1 part vodka
- 1 part Amoretti Blackberry Martini Cocktail Mix
- 3 parts white wine
- 1 cinnamon stick
The key to preparing the Autumn Wine-tini is keeping everything cool. We like to refrigerate the vodka, cocktail mixes, white wine, server ware, drink ware, and everything else hours before we get started. That way, you don’t have to use ice, which dilutes, to keep things cool.
Once everything is refrigerated, mix the ingredients according to the correct proportions in a (also chilled) glass carafe, garnish each with a cinnamon stick, and serve!
The Amoretti Autumn Wine-tini is a great way to shake up the traditional vodka martini (if you’ll excuse our pun). New seasons open up new possibilities for drink-lovers. Be sure to enjoy our other delicious martini mixes, as well, this fall! Don’t be shy about sharing your favorite recipes with us!
